Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturizing Conditioner
ingredients:
Water, Stearyl Alcohol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Dimethicone, Vanilla (Vanilla Planifolia) Extract, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Milk (Coconut), Fragrance (Parfum), Glutamic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, EDTA (Ethylenediamine-Tetra-Acetic Acid), Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Citric Acid, Blue 1 (CI 42090)
As you can see the ingredients aren’t necessarily the best but considering that 99% of the products that I use are all natural, lowering it by using one conditioner won’t hurt.
What I did
I wash my hair in 4 sections, one the left side I applied the Herbal Essence and on the right side I applied the Aussie Moist. I can say that when I initially applied the HE, I thought very runny and this will probably do nothing. I then applied the Aussie Moist and immediately thought by the feel and the thickness that it was going to be the better out of the two.
Final Results
As of now, the results are a tie. I feel like both conditioners perform the same, they detangle effortlessly and leave my hair smooth and soft. I will continue to test both.

lol @ folks looking at you when you’re searching for products.
I do the same thing when picking up products; I must examine it for each and everything to ensure that I like what I see. I shelved the Hello Hydration because of the packaging. It kept slipping through my fingers. I also temporarily shelved the Aussie Moist as I am on a 6 month only using 2 product line challenge for myself.
Thank you for this review!!! What a smart way to test products… I love it!!! I’m currently using HE Hello Hydration after first trying HE Totally Twisted. I loved the smell of the Totally Twisted, however I wasn’t too impressed. I think I used about 3 bottles of the Totally Twisted, before finally shelving it. I was reading comments on a blog and someone posted that behentrimonium chloride (basically the cheaper version of methosulfate) was in Totally Twisted, so I checked my bottles and that ingredient was no where to be found. I had already decided to switch to Hello Hydration, so when I got to Wally World I wanted to see if I was just losing my marbles about the missing ingredient. There were 2 different design bottles for the Hello Hydration, so for kicks I read the ingredients to see if there was a difference, and sure enough there was one. One of the bottles contained behentrimonium chloride and the other didn’t! I checked the Totally Twisted (more than 1 bottle) and I still didn’t see it on any of the bottles. People were looking at me llike I was staring at a McDona’ld’s menu LOL! Oh well, I was in shock
Of course I purchased the Hello Hydration that contained the ingredient. Huge difference! I’m itching to say it’s now one of my staple products, but I first need to actually STICK to a routine :-S… I am a PJ bigtime!!! I also use Suave Almond & Shea Butter in different DC and pre-poo mixes (never by itself due to the consistency), and it also contains behentrimonium chloride. I can’t wait for your final result!! Thanks Again!!!
